Importing .obj files into revit using dynamo

Hello! How can i import .obj files into revit using dynamo?
I have previously imported .sat files with some packages but cant seem to find the package or item to use when importing .obj

Thanx!

Install the MeshToolkit package,
and check the forum questions, like this one:

Thats good now i can import the .obj file thanks! I cant get it to be geometry though? Its only mesh

Check this:

Thanks for your answer  However i dont see any mention of the mesh but only using “geometry”

Oooh wait, can i just input “mesh[ |” to geometry using nodes? (I cant see any imaged in the thread they uploaded since they are super small and bad quality)

In the MeshToolkit are nodes to make the Mesh more dense and nodes to scale the Mesh

So i can import the .obj file and it shows in dynamo. But when i try “save as” to create a family file out of it. Nothing appears in the familt file (.rfa)

Use the DirectShape node from the Springs package

Is this directShape something i would need to convert to geometry?

Using DirectShape throws an error:

Warning: DirectShape.get_DynamoPreviewMaterial operation failed.
The type initializer for 'Revit.Elements.DirectShape' threw an exception.

This node needs all inputs.

Thanks for the answer, how would i go ahead if i dont have any category or material?

I’m calling for help here from the other helpers  on this forum.
