How to Place Multiple Groups and Rotate at the same time

Hi all,

I thought I would start this thread off the back of another thread as it includes further functionality not specified in the original questions until after the questions were answered.

The aim was to place groups by coordinate, then place multiple groups by coordinates and, after a lengthy and abstract discussion, to do that with a rotation built-in to the node.

The script below does exactly this…

How to Place a Revit Model Group?

Hi @RLietz, Under each node lies a bit of code. In this case it is Python and it is what makes Dynamo a little more beautiful in my opinion. Although it can be done in C# using the zero touch interface, people can view the Python code and get an understanding of the Revit API and how to generate their own nodes, another thing which makes Dynamo beautiful, which is the sharing and development of the community. How to arrange multiple Revit groups?

My poor brain still doesn’t quite get it with assembling recursive definitions to process a group of points, to be able to arrange multiple instances, in this case a group. When I feed a point list into Tool.PlaceGroupAtPoint, I half expected it to place the group at the nominated points from the list, however it only processed the first point.
