Switch between dynamo versions

Is there a way to switch between dynamo-versions without having to reboot Revit every single time? In heavier models, this becomes a gastly time consuming process.

Cheers :grinning:

Thank you for your link but it does not apply to me as a user of Revit 2018.
Surely there must be a way to switch between the installed dynamo for revit versions swiftly? (Currently running 1.3.2 and 2.0.2).

There is not. Dynamo for Revit is like an add-in, where the libraries loaded by Revit for the required interactions cannot be swapped out without closing Revit. This is a limitation of Revit unfortunately.

FWIW you’d be well served to update the library to 2.0 now which would remove the need to upgrade. I say this because Revit 2020 (and future versions) will only allow a single Dynamo version (starting with 2.1 in Revit 2020). Basically once you’re into Revit 2020 (or newer) the problem goes away, but you’ll need all graphs and nodes to be formatted for Dynamo 2.0 at a minimum.
