Specify location of Area Lines (Finish Face)

Hi!

Would it be possible to specify the location of an area line, Finish Face: Interior or Exterior. For our GFA or FAR calculations sometimes we count the wall and sometimes we don’t.

Filter Area Boundary Lines by Area Scheme

Is there a way to filter Area Boundary Lines by their Area Scheme? I can do this for the Areas, but I can’t find at way to this for the Lines. I need to be able to select all scheme-specific Area Boundary Lines in the entire project, not just in active view.

Wall location curve

Is it possible to return the various location curves of a Revit wall based? For example I want the FinishedFaceExterior curve regardless of what the Location Line parameter is set to, e.g Wall center line. It seems like a pretty straightforward request but there doesn’t seem to be any node that can do this. Clockwork has a node ‘WallOcationLine.FinishedFaceExterior’ but I can’t work out how to use it as there are no inputs. [image]

Get Floor Boundaries with Spring Nodes

Not easily. These are only set at creation and then lose all relation to the walls. Hence when you move a wall the area lines don’t automatically update. You could look at getting the lines for every core and finish face of every wall, and try intersecting that with area lines as one option.

Hi, @Archinecture

I use the Roomboundary curves from a special room i create outside the building.
This Room will find the outer Wall’s exterior.
With Dynamo i can get the boundaries of this Room and create Area Separator lines from it
Then delete the ones you dont need.
