I have a problem and i don’t not know if it can be solve in Dynamo Revit. I want to collect ceilings in Rooms and write Room Data back to these ceilings. I have tried using Room.Boundaries Node from Clockwork pakage, but the results didn’t include Ceilings. Everyone here can help me? Thanks very much!

@Rune_Haugland You are correct in your assumption, Tool.SurroundingElements uses the “BoundingBoxIntersectsFilter” witch filters out objects that are contained or intersects with the BB. The problem with bounding boxes is that they must be rotated along the global x and y axis. The image below shows two identical beams and columns, but the filter works differently on them because of the rotation: [image] Have you tried the Geometry.DistanceTo node? Lastly, you could need a couple of nodes such as Area, Sum and optionally Schedule.GetData from the BimorphNodes package.

If you already know how Dynamo works basically, the best would probably be to find a similar workflow to get started. If not, I would suggest to read the Primer first

Hi all, New to Dynamo… Probably a very simple problem to address. I’d just like to total the area of specific wall types which will be exported to excel and used for building cost estimating. Problem is, the Area will not list when using GetParameterValueByName. Any help here?
