Read only script

Hi,

To ensure end user dont mess with the scriping logic, is it possible to change .dyn files to be read only?

Thanks in advance,
Han

Just stick it into Dynamo Player I guess

This isn’t recommended as some aspects of the interactions Dynamo has with other programs are stored directly in the dyn (look into element binding in Revit).

I recommend instead keeping an archive in a read only directory for archival purposes, and note that if you plan on actually leveraging element binding it’s likely best to store the dyns which utilize this in your project directory.

We keep our graphs in a networked location with limited permissions and then path them to the Dynamo Player. This means folks could tinker with the graph, but are unable to save back to the primary location.
