Hello,
I am working in Revit 2024 with Dynamo .
I have created a surface defined by some curves and want to place a triangular pattern with beams and glass panels on this surface. My idea was to export the dynamo surface into a conceptual mass and use the Revit tools Divide Surface to create the pattern and place a Family for the elements.
However I can’t seem to get my geometry into the conceptual mass. I have tried different nodes: Direct Shape (Spring and OOTB), Form.ByGeometry Import.Instance and converting from Dynamo to SAT and importing SAT file. The only way I was able to import a geometry into revit was with a family instance (as seen in picture) and with Import instance in the project. But then I wasn’t able to use these as a surface for my pattern. With the SAT file I had the geometry in the conceptual mass environment but wasn’t able to divide the surface because the geometry only contained a mesh (revit warning). With the other options it started running in manual mode but it didn’t stop or create anything.
Do you guys have any idea what I might be doing wrong? I was also thinking about creating the division already in Dynamo, might that be the way to achieve my goal?
Thanks in advande for any help!
Greetings
Tobi
