That is because the Get Parameter nodes works in the context of the current doc, not the linked doc. If you want to get that info you may need to use a package like Beaker or Orchid to get it from the linked doc.

Hi everyone,
so after searching for a Long time and trying out different approaches and Solutions which didnt work out for me i decided to write a post about my Problem.
I am extracting Elements from a linked file. When I use the Node “Element.Parameters” I can see the Parameter Values. But when I use “Element.GetParameterValueByName” I often get a Null-Value at many Parameters. (See Picture)
Exampel by Upper Limit, Phase-ID ect…
My Goal is to extract all Values from the Linked Elements.

Hi @Lam_Hung ,
The first 3 nodes in my picture will get you the linked elements, of the chosen category.
Than you can do some filtering to select only the elements you want.
As the last step you can replace the Element.Parameters node by the one in your picture.
As mentioned before, if you want to code it in Python (i can’t help you) but you could rightclick the first 2 nodes to check what Python code is inside.
