Hello fellow folks and accessible gurus. I’m fairly comfortable with basic/intermediate data management by now for my day to day use, so I’m trying to learn about parametric design.
To do so, I’m recreating the shell of a project I did in college, which was made in AutoCAD + physical model, but trying to make it a bit more fluid and dynamic. The parametric challenge is making this diamond grid in Dynamo. In this picture is more or less what I originally made (only now in revit for reference):
With a not-so-optimal script, I was able to create a sufficiently ok pattern:
The script:
25_Estrutura Predio.dyn (92.9 KB)
What I can’t solve so far:
This pattern needs to “bend” around the surface adjacent to it (I’m adding some curves, because why not). I don’t know if the workflow is to create the pattern, then “wrap” it on the surface, or create the pattern directly on the surface(s), then create a solid from it.
Either way, I’m stuck.
Appreciate any inputs on this.
Thanks a lot!
PS: Revit 2025, Dynamo 3.3.0
