Hello @thinzar,
Welcome to the forum. Please, check out forum guidelines about how to get help. It will help you to get answers much quicker.
I also suggest you share what you have tried in Dynamo until now. It will help people better understand what you are trying to achieve.
thank you sir. I have edited my questions above.
Hello @thinzar is it something here you mean ?
I’m working on a concave curve roof as shown orange color line and having some difficulty placing 400mm width lines on the surface. Could you kindly guide me through the process? thanks sir.
could you show where the issue is in dynamo ?..you are welcome to share a rvt sample we can try on
Roof slopes are shown in the snapshot
Please find the file from the link Unique Download Link | WeTransfer
thank you so much. i will try on it. can you please share the reference script?
sorry dont have it anymore, try you can follow and if you go stock, then just show us where and we can try help
Hi Sir…The roof is a slanted curve, so when I project lines (spaced 400mm apart) onto the slanted surface along the Z-axis direction, the resulting spacing between the projected lines varies, showing values like 404mm, 403mm, and so on, as shown in the snapshot. How can I maintain a consistent 400mm spacing between the lines?
Hello hard to say as i dont can see whats goin on. but in my example i dont use closest point to…so not sure
thanks sir…if “closest point to” won’t give the correct spacing, is there any better way to divide slanted curve surface with U and V values?
yeah have you tried what i show ? and doesnt that work ?
@thinzar - which Dynamo build are you in?
i can not see your screenshot fully. that’s why i tried other way. sorry sir
I am using dynamo V 3.3.2 and revit 2025
