There are many ways to do it. Please make sure to search the forms first. If you have any questions about any one of these methods let me know.
Is there a node or a fast way to get every element of a category in a view?
This works but is not efficient:
Try the nodes from springs for now:
I suggest you make a wish item on GitHub if you’d like to see area views being supported out of the box

Im using Dynamo Version 1.0 in Revit 2015, dont know if that is the cause for you.
I am very new in Dynamo, and i am sure that my problem has an easy solution, but I did not find it yet…
I get a multiple selection and a list with all elements. I would like to maintain all elements of a category (Air Terminals) in this list and discard the rest of categories (filter elements in a selection).

I know I can run All elements of type with TextNote rather than TextNoteType or all Elements of Category but that takes a long time to collect all the text notes. I only need the text notes of one of the text note types.
Thank you for all of your help,
I am working with the Elements, Element Types and Families. I was wondering if someone could help clear up how things are selected in dynamo and make sure I have the Revit Hierarchy correct. (Image copied form the Primer.
Using Element Types with Family Instances and All Elements of Type I get 6,072 elements. What are these elements? Using code from Einar_Raknes in post Collect all categories in a project I get 113,172 Element ID’s. Thats a huge difference in Element cou…
