Hi guys, so i recently tried to download Dynamo sandbox but for some reason it wont work. I downloaded the zip file, opened it and i can run Dynamo sandbox but when i place a node (all of them) wont work. they al give the following error code:

To have access to Geometry in Dynamo, you need to install another piece of Autodesk software from a set list: Revit, Civil 3d, FormIt or Robot Structural Analysis.
ah okay! i tried to download the newest release but it gave me that error code when i tried to make an imaginary point. When i tried the same on an old version (2024) it did work for some reason. Dont know why that is…
It’s not just an install, but a version from around the time when the Dynamo release happened. This is because the core geometry library undergoes updates to make things faster or address issues annually, so old builds don’t work the same way and therefore Dynamo can’t work with them. Too new or too old and they just start speaking a new language.
There are also quite a few tools which will give the geometry library - I don’t believe there is a full list. All AutoCAD verticals is certainly on there, as should be Alias and I believe Fusion.
For Dynamo 4.0 (latest) you’ll want to install one of the later 2026 releases.
