Dynamo Revit to Excel Template

Hi All I need a Revit-to-Excel integration. For example, in Revit I have elements such as CMU walls, IMP panels, and stud walls. I already have an Excel template, and I need the wall areas from Revit to be automatically transferred and populated into the corresponding fields in the Excel template.

Hi Arunkumar, welcome

Please take the time to review the following - How to get help on the Dynamo forums

There are many posts on using Excel in the forum, which are only a search away

Depending on your requirements, could you just export a schedule from Revit?

Hi and welcome to the community!

As Mike says, you will need to learn some basics, and it is always helpful for us to see your working.

I agree with Mike, Dynamo is an extra step, so if you can do it straight from Revit, that is preferred.

However if not, I know it can be daunting to get going, so here is a starter for you.

Likely you will have lots of complexities and specifics in your project, so you will still need to do some work.

My advice would be to make a simple Revit test file, get yourself comfortable with this graph, then up the complexity.

Read all the warnings (nodes go yellow when you have a problem), look at all your watch nodes and do lots of filtering.

If you get stuck you can come back to the forum with more questions.

Hope that helps,

Mark
