Hello, is anyone having issues with Dynamo crashing in Revit 2025.4 ?
No matter what I do its crashing. Ive also noticed the landing page that opens up first changes from instance to instance it looks like its swapping between the old and the new interface.
Also does the new Dynamo no longer support IronPython2 and now forces you into CPython3 which effectively has killed off the ability to code a User Interface?
im at my wits end so if anyone has a work around that would be appreciated
Hello.
It’s crashing with me aswell, but it’s not a behaviour I can reproduce consistently. It just gives up from time to time, and (at least) gives me the option to save. Some packages seem to make it worse, mostly the ones that don’t seem to be that up to date with Revit/Dynamo.
So far I’m not that bothered by it, but yeah, it’s happening.
I haven’t experienced the other problem(s?) you mentioned.
When you say crashing, is it Dynamo closing or Revit? Can you:
- Restart your CPU
- Launch Revit
- Start a new project from no template
- Launch Dynamo
- Start a new graph
- Place a Python node (graph is in auto run so this should crash according to your description)
- Post your Dynamo log from that session and the Revit journal (both should have a similar timestamp and be fairly small in size, with a date craeted within minutes of each other)

Try disabling Unifi add-in via Add-Ins Manager if you have it installed - this was causing issues with 2025.4 and Dynamo in our corporate environment
Hi Jacob I am just having to speak with our IT department in order to get the green light to share logs as we have security policies I will try look to share shortly I may need to reach out directly with them if thats okay?
Hi Mike thank you for the response I have checked the add in manager and the unifi add in doesnt appear to be installed - could that also be the issue?
I know it’s a bit of a chore but you could turn off all add-ins do a restart and then turn them back on one by one, launch Dynamo each time and see if one of them is causing the issue
Four add-ins in your list have been known to cause issues of some type at in the past. Disabling them all and trying to recreate the issue is a good idea. Also checking vs a clean install of Revit (with no add-ins at all) but in your environment is a good call.
You can DM me a link the the journals, but there is no certainty I will be able to take action on them as my day job is first priority.
