AddTinVolumeSurface to VolumeDashboard?

Hi.

Is it possible to add a TinVolumeSurface with Dynamo/Python to the Volume Dashboard?

Yes that’s possible. Check out the Camber package. It has the node below to create a volume surface.

@omar.g
This node only creates the TinVolumeSurface.
It doesn’t add it to the Dashboard.

I see your issue. My apologies, I assumed that creating the volume surface added it to the dashboard automatically similar to the command in Civil 3D. I could’ve sworn it added it when I used the node previously but just tested again and it doesn’t add to the dashboard

@mzjensen could this be something added to the wish list for Camber when you have time? Does seem like a logical next step.

The Arkance Systems Node Library contains a GetBoundedVolume node, but I am not sure if it adds it to the dashboard (can’t test it right now).

No it does not add it to the dashboard. It is something I also have been looking for (quite a while). Alternatively I would love to see the 2D area property exposed (it is not a property of the bounded volume).
