Populate "Image" parameter for list of elements

Hello guys,

I wonder if anybody ever done this: I need to “attach” images to the list of elements. I tried to simply set the image parameter value for element with the filename and path, and it does not work. If you manually attach an image to elements image parameter in Revit and lately extract the value with the node “Element.GetParameterValueByName”, it is called “ImageTyep XXXXX”. So I cant figure out how to solve this.

Help is much appreciated.

you can do it like this:

So Image Type is nothing more than an imported image. You can see and manage images from Manage Images button on Insert tab.

Of course there are ways to import images into project from Dynamo as well as to retrieve them. That’s a topic for another day though.
