Point at segment from point

Hi guys , I am trying to create a point on a curve from a reference point.

I have tried:

  1. select model element
  2. created point at segment
  3. tried to create point at segment from point

But when I play around with the slider of the first point on the curve the second isnt moving along.

So how can I make a point at a segment to move along a reference point to a standard given distance from one to another?

Thats what I ve tried so far.
