Placing electrical receptacle based on the door opening

Hi everyone, I am trying to create a dynamo graph that is placing electrical recepticles based on the door opening side. Till now i have figured how to find the door opening side. Could you come with some advices or suggestions how can i continue?
Thank you

here is where i stopped, now based on the opening side of the door i would like to place a receptacle to the opposite part (if the door is opened to the left, the receptacle is placed to the right)

Try having a look at what @Sean_Fruin (Sigma AEC) has done in his “streamlining MEP” white paper, as this might help. I remember there being something on placing thermostats in rooms next to doors.

You read my mind, Sean came right to mind when I saw this.

I managed to come up with this graph, but the only problems i encounter are:

  1. how to rotate the fixtures in the right direction?
  2. how to offset their placement to a point which is half the door width + 150mm
@Xtopher123 could you offer me some advice?

this is the model where i am testing the graph

Could you upload both the Graph file and the Test Model so I could have a look at it?

Elctrical receptacle placement_222.dyn (70.7 KB)

And the model is basically 4 walls, three doors and a room… i couldn’t upload the model because is larger than 4mb
