Place families using XYZ from excel

Hi

A while ago an awesome person made a small addon for Revit 2014 that let you select a load of familes, export to CSV then re-import the CSV with the XYZ location - thus changing where they are located.

I am looking to do this with Dynamo in Revit 2016/7

I have looked through the forum and found some posts, but nothing seems to cover exactly what I am looking for. Does anyone have any guidance.

This is certainly possible- if you provide a sample/further explanation/your Dynamo attempt, then I’m sure someone will help

i have made a start on this, but it has become apparent that my FamilyInstance.Location is not reporting the same as the position it is within the Revit model.
