One-Sided Wall Finish Override

Hi Community and @jacob.small ,

I have a task to override the wall finish, specifically on the interior side of a single-layer wall. Is it possible to override the element on just one side? I want to display some color information for representation and do not want to show the exterior finish material.

Thank you!

How would you do this manually?

I assume the paint tool in Revit.

In that case: Paint Material Surface - #4 by Organon

There are a half dozen or so good threads on the topic though.

Yes, this is not possible to do manually.

Yes, paint is the perfect option for this topic, but I don’t want the material or paint to reflect other views. The override option is what I want.

Hi @jacob.small , are there any add-ins available that allow me to override by selecting only specific faces?

There is no way to override one face of an element - you’ll need to put another element in place and override that.
