Not again ! All Nodes on top of each other (Sandbox) after WIN11 update

So I am here once again after a WIN 11 (22H2) Upgrade:

1.: Dynamo Sandbox does not do geometry anymore
After some trial and error fixed by reinstalling 2.13.1 again

2.: Some graphs have all Nodes stacked in the left upper corner, nothing works

So (yeah) Iwent ahead and upgraded from V22 to Revit 23 + the latest hotfix.

But still this happens in Sandbox even after I delete all custom packages.
(Also in Revit23/Dynamo)

Is this something related to Microsoft .NET again ? (Versioning ?)

Or is this something with Generative Design.
(I could not find a special GD download/ install for Revit 23. I tried appdata Folder with GD and standard ProgramData folder, it shows in the menu.)

This is so annoying - how can it be fixed ?

  1. Hi @sniken it sounds like you’ve seen this before can you link to your old thread?
  2. Some graphs? or all graphs? Can you send some of the broken graphs?
  3. Why are you looking for GD - did that somehow resolve the issue the first time you saw it?
  4. What version of sandbox are you using?
  5. “nothing works” - so in addition to the nodes being stacked, other functionality is broken?
  6. please provide a log from sandbox.

Thank you Michael,

It appears this was mainly a windows related issue happening in between upgrades.
There was another upgrade (mentioning .Net I believe) and few reboots more, now it is back on track.
Occasionally the geometry just shows as lines / like wireframe, not shaded. Íll see if this happens again, for now it works again.
One warning I got with sandbox is from „refinery toolkit“, referencing something like „massing-revit dll“. I just deleted those files and that was fixed.

I have a bit of a hard time finding out which packages are compatible with what sandbox version, is there a way to obtain this info? (Maybe in the packages section: a V2.13.1 compatible list ?)
