Move and rotate a linked file

i want to move and rotate a few linked files in my projectv (or place them at a specificpoint)… i don’t care a bout shared coordinates and things like that… i just want to move them to a new point like you can do with a family.

but i can’t find a way

Hi @Arno_De_Lange,

The custom nodes Element SetLocation and Element SetRotation from the Genius Loci package should do the trick.

Hi,

This should work. Try a simpler case without all the previous operations to determine the problem. (transaction, list level, lacing…)

this way the rotation works but element set location still gives null

it is strange when you select through select model element it works… if i do it through my script by placing the links then do a transaction end and start and feed the node the same element with the same ID it gives 0
