Dear Dynamo Gurus,
Our team is using Material tags to tag our ceiling materials, and we have hundred of ceilings to tag, currently our team is manually tagging each element, is there a way to isolate the ceilings by view and then apply the material tag for each element? We are very new in the world of Dynamo and as our projects get complicated the need to use automation tools are getting more and more evident.
We tried searching thru the current topics, but we get lost or get confused as some of the solutions are really complicated.
Thank you very much for reading and take care all
All Elements of Category in View is likely a good start; from there you can look into your options for tagging; I believe that Genius Loci package has some good material tag nodes.
This isn’t too hard of a ‘first graph’, but you likely want to start small and go all the way though the Dynamo primer first. Skip nothing - even f the output seems irrelevant to what you’re after you want to complete it; the exercises are designed to teach you the concepts not the outcomes.
Thank you for the tips Jacob…will follow thru with the primer and work my way up from there…will get back here if we manage to figure it out…thanks again

Above is a YouTube video I would recommend to you_ It by the AUSSIE BIM Guru- about tagging in dynamo, there is some useful info in there you could use to help you created your script about tagging
