Labels not getting shown in DynamoPlayer

Hey guys, I´m trying to label different points with values attached to them, just like in the example file. The Output that should get shown in the player is gathered in a Watch3D-node. While I´m in Dynamo everything is shown just fine an the values get shown at the points.
The Output that should get shown in the player is gathered in a Watch3D-node.
But when the result gets shown in the player, the attached labels are missing. Is it possible to show the labels in the Output inside the DynamoPlayer?
Th attached picture shows the outout inside the player.

I do not believe this is possible at this time as player uses a different framework for display than Dynamo does. I have asked the development team though.

For now I recommend you look into adding text objects directly via a package like DynamoText instead.

Thank you! That was also my assumption. It´s not that easy as the label, but it works.

Hi @michael_marx! Just want to confirm, from the dev side, Jacob’s hunch. Player just displays essentially a 3d (gltf) mesh file. To do the labels we’d need a special path, something like “display names of empty objects with the tag ‘label’ as labels aligned to the camera”. Thanks for the suggestion though, it’s definitely something we will contemplate!

Can I ask a favor? I downloaded your “example_labels.dyn” file and when I run the exact same Dynamo graph, I am unable to have the Watch 3D node display in my Dynamo Player. I have made sure the Watch 3D node is marked as “Is Output”. I also have attempted to run the script with the unaltered Watch 3D node name as well as running it with an overwritten/custom name still to no avail. I am curious if anyone else has seen this issue and if there is a setting I need to change so that my Dynamo Player will display the Watch 3D node as an output? Thanks in advance
