Gis to C3D

Hi everyone,

About a month ago I started working with Dynamo, and thanks to this community I’ve been able to create and modify several scripts related to pipe networks, for which I’m very grateful.

However, a new challenge has come up, and I’m hoping to get some guidance from you.

I’ve received a DWG file that contains polylines all at elevation 0, but it also includes elevation data provided by the GIS team.

My question is:
Is there a way to convert these polylines into pipe networks?
So far, I’ve managed to automate processes such as creating an alignment and its corresponding profile from a polyline.

What I’d like to know is:
Is it possible to project the elevation data from the DWG onto the profile view, and then create a design profile connecting those points, so I can later generate the pipes based on that?

I appreciate any help or suggestions in advance.

The GIS department has provided us with data, as shown in the attached file (this is just a small section of the entire project).

I’ve already managed to generate the terrain profiles, but now I’m facing the challenge of automating the creation of pipe networks, while respecting the inlet and outlet elevations of the pipes.

Additionally, I need to make sure that the rim and invert elevations of the manholes are also respected.

I’m also attaching the latest script I used, in case it helps as a reference or if you can guide me on how to improve or adapt it.

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions you can provide.
