Getting Geometry of wall openings of walls at an angle

Hey Folks,
I am trying to get a geometry of openings in walls, which are in certain angle. I am using bounding box way to do that. Ultimately, i want two edges of openings, which i will use for dimensioning,

Hey, see if this is helpful… surface orientation and reassociating geometry to the wall are the key things…

Auto-Dimension from Walls

Hi All, Just a WIP incase anyone has a free Sunday and fancies a play with it! Otherwise I’ll get back on it on Monday… Following the amazing work here: I want a graph which will create individual dimensions (so I can check them against brick dimensions) and automatically create the dimension location lines. So far I’ve got here… It’s nearly there, but rather than create a dim per ‘reference’ it’s creating a dim per line… It’s also doing something weird with the view… The created dims are…

Hi, i have been using dynamo to get geometry and bounding box of wall openings for dimensioning purpose, but the new version of dynamo doesnt allow me to do that, [image] [image] Is there any way through other nodes?

Do you know why this is happening?

Hey,

If you look at the method in the link, the base geometry of the wall is returned, so I presume openings would be included… Then that geometry is reassociated to the wall for dimensioning…
