Floor Thickness Parameter in Framing Family

Hi everyone!

I have a problem and i have been working on it for these day but i can’t get it.

Is there any way to get floor thickness value and assign it to Structural Framing share parameter?

I thought about using intersection method to find what floor intersect with the beams. But I did not know exact way to approach?

Any one can help me?

Hi,

It might be a lot easier( and faster) to just evaluate the missing volume, instead of extracting the object geometries and performing intersection tests. This would also take care of cases where the beam is cut by two slabs with varying thickness (option 1):
