Element Geometry - Round to Rectangular Duct fitting

how we can generate such element’s geometry?
I’m trying to get surface area of duct fittings

sample- duct fitting.rvt (6.6 MB)

Can you post an RVT model with the geometry in question? There is likely a work-around but which one to go with is a bit difficult to advise on without first trying a few things.

What happens if Try element.solids?

@jacob.small sample uploaded.

@pyXam

@vishalghuge2500 ,

a workaround is boundingbox

grafik

Try something here could probably work

or an alternative way could be rebuild :wink:

apologies for resurrecting an old comment, but I tried to redraw this fitting using your method and had a few questions.

  1. How do I see a 3d version of the new loft?

  2. How do i use that new loft to calculate the surface area?
    Thanks

you will see the geometry in dynamo canvas ,probably you need zoom to fit…maybe

we have a surface area node OOTB for that or just in a codeblock
