Element Faces from selected swept blend not possible

Hello everyone,

This is my first post and for sure not the last one.
I’m new to Dynamo and hope that I’ll have a lot of fun and success with the great plugin…

Background of my problem: I want the area quantity of a swept blend (ceiling) for the formworks etc.

The whole thing works great with some swept blends, also with swept blends including cutting geometries.
But with some I get this error…

Any help would be great. Thanks in advance

Best regards, Dennis

I just tried to select a curved face for something entirely different in the family editor (not in Dynamo) and couldn’t. Maybe the issues are related?

Try Using Element.Geometry then Geometry.Explode instead of Element.Faces…

Just a thought.

Thanks, but unfortunately it doesn’t work.

Hi Dennis,

Is it possible to drop here Revit dummy file. So that we can have closer look at your issue. Thanks!

Hi, sure…

Swept_Blend_Element_Faces

Thank you.

Hello Dennis,

Why don’t you directly use the “Select Faces” node? That way you won’t have to manually filter the desired faces with a code block:

Hello Dimitar,

many thanks! You are right, works much better for my purpose.
