OK, really cool concept, loving it so far except that Matt is preventing me from using the mac version but that’s for another topic 
Does anybody know why it doesn’t share the Revit installation packages? Can i just copy the folder over and move on?

Yes, you can simply copy the packages which you have installed for open source Dynamo to Dynamo Studio location.
Path for Open Source which works with Revit: C:\Users\chandar\AppData\Roaming\Dynamo\0.8
Path for Dynamo Studio: C:\Users\chandar\AppData\Roaming<strong>Autodesk\Dynamo Studio\0.8
