I have a few Dynamo scripts that either read an excel file or write to one. The scripts run fine on other machines, but on my machine, it will not read or write to excel. Is there some setting that I’m missing that toggles the read write function of external files like excel. I’m at the point where I am about to reimage the machine.
Try running an online repair (of Excel/ Office). Pre revit 2022 the excel nodes generally have a lot of issues due to windows updates.

Is your excel-file being synched with OneDrive? OneDrive prevents reading and writing to excel-files without throwing an error.
I currently have Revit 2018,2020,2021,2022, and 2023 loaded on the machine. just to be sure when you say online repair are you talking Dynamo, Revit or Excel (office 365)
Also the excel file is not on Onedrive, it is on my local server or local hard drive
