Dynamo nodes with "Crossed out eyes"

image

What are the crossed out eyes for?

I keep thinking there’s an error with my node… but there isn’t.

Is there a use for them?
Can I turn them off?

Hi
I changed the title of your post.
The crossed out eye means that the Preview of the node is set to off.
In my example I create a circle with insertion from a point where I set the preview “On” and “Off”

Preview of Point is set to off

Preview is set to on

What was the title of my post originally? I thought it was fairly descriptive. :hushed:

Is there a way to stop it showing those eyes? They’re super distracting.

Sorry, didn’t meant to offence you but regarding the title, it’s not only for revit 2023, it’s for all dynamo, so I felt that it will help user for Dynamo for other applications as well

No i don’t think so, if you want the nodes preview to be off then they will be there.

It’s not for pre 2023.

Can we get an option to resize the graphs and turn off things like the eyes in later versions maybe?

I really liked the way Dyno was in R21 and I’m really struggling with the new look in R23 - I have to zoom in and out so much more, the eyes are distracting and generally I’m finding it way slower to use because of this.

Love the colouring of outputs though (so I know if it’s a string or double etc) and love the Python3.

Dynamo team is looking into the speed impact of the zoom states; but it wont’ likely happen until 3.0 for you as the Revit team doesn’t pull in older updates.

I will say that they have been a HUGE time saver for instances where you have a MASSIVE graph and some geometry is turned on but you don’t know which. Similarly the ‘error’, ‘warning’, and all the rest are really helpful.
