I’ve been using Dynamo 2.19 with Revit 2024.2 for a few months now with no problems (aside from the known Revit 2024 problems…) but today when I try to open Dynamo from Revit, it crashes and I get the Send Error Report window appear. I’m not trying to open a specific script, just Dynamo itself.
I’ve run all the necessary Windows updates (Windows 10), removed all Revit Add-ins, and removed all my Dynamo packages, even tried opening Dynamo from a new empty project, but always the same problem.
Anyone offer any solutions? My next step was a reinstall of Revit but I thought I’d ask first.
EDIT: I can open Dynamo 2.12 through Revit 2022.1 just fine
Don’t jump to reinstall; it’ll likey keep happening and you’ll waste that time.
Restart the CPU, start Revit, launch Dynamo, get the crash, and let it close. Post the journal from that session here and the community can have a look.
Alternatively, contact Autodesk support directly via the accounts portal at Manage.Autodesk.com.
If you’ve made any changes to packages or are loading packages from a directory you don’t have control over that might be the root cause, so you may want to check your Dynamo settings to see if there is anything outside of the standard directories, and disable those if so. You can also try renaming your packages directory at the same time as that will prevent loading any standard installations for customizations if one of those are causing the issue.
journal.0410.txt (374.1 KB)
It crashes Dynamo and closes it, but Revit continues to operate. Journal txt attached.
You still have several add-ins enabled.

- Likely some Autodesk add-ins as well.
Disable all Revit add-ins and try removing your Dynamo customizations as ntoed above.
Removed all addins and still having the same issue. Have raised a ticket with Autodesk so hopefully they can get back to me sooner than a few days
