seems as though i get errors opening dynamo after I have opened Dynamo Player in the session of Revit first. Either Revit force closes or the graph does not open properly and is unable to be viewed.

Do you have a Dynamo graph you can share for this workflow? Are you running it in Player and then opening Dynamo? Can you give us some more detail?
