Does anyone have any suggestions how, and if, I can do daylight analysis out of facade openings like the reference shown below in Dynamo?
The illustration is from a research project of A. Agirbas. The 3 illustrations above are the facade constructions and the 3 illustrations below is the % of daylight that reaches the floor. Any suggestions would be helpful! Thanks in advance.
Is Ladybug recommended for a study like this?
Honeybee is the the lighting analysis package- from the same family as Ladybug
I’ve found VI-Suite (Blender) very quick/easy to use
The interface has some similarities to Dynamo/Grasshopper
Not the answer to your question- but in my experience, I’ve tried with a number of Autodesk environmental analysis tools, but given up. They just seem to be a half-hearted attempt & I’ve never been able to get any decent results- but happy for someone to set me straight.
