Covering the shape by adaptive components

Hello everyone! I’m on the way of studying dynamo so I try to follow the tutorials from http://dynamobim.org/learn/
Right now I have a question about retrieving the poins to cover the shape by adaptive components.(The unit 6 Solar orientation). There the excel file with points is given. The question is how can I split the shape of the building into the litle triangle or square surfaces and get the points to place appropriate (3 or 4 points ) adaptive components for the future analysis of sun orientation. the picture of sample code is attached.

My code is given below. I just don’t know how to cover any shape with adaptive components.Maybe it quite easy)

Atrium roof: Grouping points for adaptive components

I’ve a 2d drawing of an atrium roof. I’ve imported the 2d curves and added points to each end points. The idea is to group these points by sets of 3 and place a three point adaptive component family. However, each point number is scattered through a out the roof, which makes it almost impossible to group. If it’s even possible to renumber or reset all points, how can you group them by three if there isn’t any orthogonal logic to run a slice, indices or split node? [roof dynamo][roof]
