When I try to import a CAD DWG file into Dynamo, the DWG doesn’t appear, even though I’ve created nodes for ‘Select Model Element’ and ‘CAD.CurvesFromCADLayers’. Dynamo runs the script successfully, but the DWG isn’t visible. How can I resolve this issue?
Hello @ihatetomatoes and welcome to the forum do you mean in Dynamo preview ? if so have you tried zoom in ?
hello and thank you. yes i have zoomed in and switched on and off the preview, but still it doesnt appear
allright not sure then…does it work if you feed your importinstance into a element.geometry node ?
I’m sorry, i dont quite understand.
For your info, i am using Dynamo for Revit
yes i assume that
which revit version are you in ?
I am using Revit 2022, and Dynamo v2.16.2. i am sorry for asking too many questions
no worries nobody can ask to many questions regard Dynamo ;)…could you share that cad ? and i can check if i have the same issue
ooh no i cant seem to share documents as im a new user
ok just upload you file, to filetransfer, webtransfer etc…and share the link here
here is the link. thank you Data package from August 8th. - FileTransfer.io
OMG! How did you do that? Is it something wrong with my Dynamo settings? I think my Dynamo settings are set to default though
Sir, i manage to find the CAD. I really had to zoom out so far… but how do i fit the cad into grid? because my dynamo grid is so tiny
The reason for that is you cadlink is very far away from origin…not sure i understand what you mean with grid
