Batch printing from several revit files! HELP!

Hi, I have had a topic where I already tried to pull this one off. What I am trying to achieve for the past few days (while ripping my hair out of my head) is creating a script which does the following:

  • Get all *.rvt files in a document
  • Choose the wanted sheets and/or viewsets in those files
  • Print all to PDF to chosen directory

That’s it, it sounds easy but I have been wrestling for days and somehow got to print either from the current (active) document or print all the sheets (or unwanted sheets containing the same word) from the revit files in the document.

Is anyone willing to help me out further? It’s for my thesis and I am spending way too much time on a single script atm.

Your other post has plenty of assistance going on. By the looks of it you are at the point of filtering down the documents to print. Breaking into two threads messes up the board and diverts attention from other posts which are receiving no help at all. This also hurts you as we could tell you to zig here and zag there, putting you in a situation where you have to follow two sets of conflicting advice.

As such I am closing this thread. Remember that all help given here is done freely by volunteers - no one is obligated to help, and there should be no expectation for timeline or for others to build the graph for you.
