Batch print in Dynamo - Why?

Hello everyone,

I often see tutorials for Revit+Dynamo showing how to batch print sheets. Since Revit can also batch print, I wonder what’s the advantage of Dynamo. Am I missing something?

Cheers!

I use it mainly for naming convention and also for better / easier selection. Revit’s default PDF settings don’t let you name files like you would want especially if your needing to follow and owner or ISO scheme.

I also have my UI tied to revisions so I can easily print all sheets with a certain revision. This helps make sure sheets don’t get missed.

It also allows you to print multiple single sheets without naming each one, and even control print settings if you want to make sure the right ones are being used.

The naming alone already makes a lot of sense - thanks a lot!
