Automate Numbering of Parking Spaces

I am trying to automate the numbering of parking spaces per level. The scrip that I made does it, but it does not do it in a coherent fashion.
I am trying to write the scrip so it starts numbering from left to right or top to bottom. Or dictate a path with a spline line.
How can i do that?
