Auto dimensioning a linear element

Hi all,

I was trying to dimension an element in my model and find the workflow to expand to other elements.
I have a nested family that contains some linear elements (lined-based), which I want to add a dimension. I’m using some of the nodes from Genius Loci packages in this script. I don’t know why the result of the final node is Null. Can anyone help me?

This is the vertical element that I wanna dimension. The whole family is a Curtain panel consists of line-based and panel-based elements

It looks like you’re feeding in a dimension element rather than a dimension type.

Hi,

You should select a dimensionType instead of a dimension element and no need for the longest lacing.
