Microsoft has announced the deprecation of VB Scripting in the near future. It seems that it will be removed in the next Windows version but maybe sooner.

I hope Autodesk will be alert on this and at least program some secure functionality to avoid crashes when old drawings containing VB scripts are opened. Even better if Autodesk will add the possibility of using JavaScript or Python instead.
But maybe the best to avoid Formula Properties at all, and use Dynamo instead for the intelligence in Property Sets… Any interesting thoughts about this?

Likely best to hold off on that until the product teams (AutoCAD first, Civil3D second) come up with some direction. The lack of Dynamo for core AutoCAD might make this less desirable for end users. I am sure they are aware but I am not sure of any direction on the topic - @zachri.jensen might know more.
But the idea of embedding a Dynamo graph which automatically executes when an element is modified or added is something I have explored in the context of Revit. It can be powerful, but it can also slow things down quite a bit.
