Updating a node in your package?

Hello,

is there a step-by-step, designer-proof, tutorial or user guide on how to manage packages?

I need to update custom nodes, delete old ones, etc. but I cannot figure out how to do it.

Are you talking about managing 3rd party content for a firm or managing your own content to be distributed?

There are many threads that discuss best practices for managing 3rd party custom nodes and packages. The Dynamo side of that is just file paths and pretty well documented. How you choose to manage that content all depends on your specific wants/needs, the size of your firm, how many versions you want to support, how much you’re willing to rely on custom packages, and plenty other firm-specific decisions.

The Dynamo Primer has documentation on how to publish your own packages. Again, there’s some manual work in maintaining any amount of content so there’s no one-size-fits-all solution here either. You have to decide what works for you.
