It would be very valuable if I could thicken an undulating surface along a given vector. most often the Z-axis, but I guess in any direction. Does anyone know whether there are OOTB nodes/workflow capable of doing this, or if anyone has encountered a custom node which does the same?

I don’t believe there’s such a node but we could definitely try to fake it
