Suggestion - DYN file Should Embed Packages

We must have custom packages installed for a DYN file to function. There’s two ways to solve this:

1. On first run, Dynamo can install needed packages automatically.
   or
2. Simply embed the custom package.

Manually managing package installations on multiple computers is a problem.

What do you guys think?

Use a central location for the packages.
And use Manage Node and Package paths in the settings menu

However, I do think it is still a LONG time before they really look at implementing something OOTB.

There are quite a few other ways of handling this yourself though. (Here is a non-exhaustive list)

• DynaHub:GitHub - Dre-Tas/DynaHub: Dynamo Extension to interact with GitHub. Enable Dynamo to pull graphs from GitHub + version control
• DynaStandard: GitHub - brencass/DynaStandard_public: This Dynamo extension was developed to create a Dynamo content library to help distribute this content to all, have easy access to graph(s) templates and any standard documentation related to dynamo. (@Brendan_Cassidy)
• Orkestra (paid tool, but that means it just works with very little effort): https://www.orkestra.online/ (@Mostafa_El_Ayoubi)
• The OOTB Workspace Dependency View Extension for newer version will warn you at least.
• Monocle allows you to document your nodes to tell users what they should have installed.
