I’m testing a few things this morning and i ran into the SIUnits node. I was under the expectations that this would transform an area into a number(double) that could be used for calculations.
Andreas helped me out with this one!
To convert an area to double, just run it through a “formula node” that only contains ‘x’. It strips out the m² or mm or any other suffix.
By the way i’m playing with the LunchBox node, the SIUnit works fine with Element.GetParameterValueByName
