A couple of points to add 
- The Dynamo Library does allow for filtering out custom packages, as seen below. In either the Dynamo 2.12 or earlier version and the new visually refreshed Dynamo 2.13 and above, these become accessible when you start typing something.

Dynamo Search has gotten faster in recent releases, but unfortunately not more diverse in it’s ability to search for nodes.

We have introduced Node Autocomplete in later versions that is currently based on Object Type’s, and we are starting to empower this with Machine Learning in the near future. This will help you build graphs faster and more effectively.

The way Search works in Dynamo is far from ideal, and we do have plans to look into and improve it
It’s current approach of weighting isn’t as accurate as it could be.
