Dynamo search function reserved for only one session?

Is it just me or is the search function in Dynamo Revit only available for one instance of Dynamo?

The search function for nodes works fine in Dynamo until you open a second instance, in this new session of Dynamo, the search function just doesn’t do anything:

Closing both sessions and then reopening the session that doesn’t allow searching solves the issue.

Yes - the search isn’t built for concurrent use in some builds. Typically Revit licenses only permit one active instance at a time (well over 90% of all cases) so this wasn’t accounted for when the application first shipped, but I believe this has been resolved in 2025. Make sure you’re fully updated and if not know it is resolved in a future build.

Good to know!
I was working in Revit 2024 so that probably explains it then
