Are there any method(s) that can reverse the process of fabrication components back to generic design components?
Hi you can use MEpover Package, has node for pipe and duct which you can take fabrication part location as a curve (Location+ = Clockwork) then place pipe and duct by a node in MEpover package.
this is the easy part but for fitting is totally another story because you have to finde the face and direction of the fitting and place them by familyintersect.byfaceanddirection.
at the end because they placed by dynamo they are not connected to each other which is another headache to manually connect them or wirte another script to connect pipe,duct to fittings
