I am working on a project at the moment and would like to try and utilise dynamo to automate parts of the setting out.
I would like to cut revit elements at each finished floor level of a building to return their section profile/surface. I then plan on manipulating these sections to set out my elements.
I am trying to use the element.cut.geometry function and have managed to select the element to be cut (free form model saved as a generic model family). However I can’t seem to use a plane as a cutting tool.
I have also tried to use a surface which i created using the surface.by.sweep function, but to no avail.
Any advice you could give me would be very much appreciated.
